Client: Tandem Diabetes Care

Product: Insulin Pump System

CIR assisted Tandem Diabetes with a wide variety of human factors testing support services throughout much of the process of human factors testing of a new insulin pump system including new pump, mobile app, and associated training.  We began our involvement with the product assisting with multiple rounds of late formative testing moderation, notetaking, and report writing.  Summative testing included multiple different user groups and a wide variety of test tasks such that the test was broken down into four legs each of which was the size of a typical summative test.  Our team assisted in test moderation and notetaking, led the overall coordination of data QC, root cause analysis, data analysis and reporting, and final report creation for all legs of the test.

Client:  California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS)

Product:  Interactive Voice Response System (IVR)

CIR assisted the CSOD group with specialized usability testing and research to establish an updated IVR system with expanded options and functionality.  Activities included contextual inquiries, in-depth analysis of the established IVR system, and design of the proposed solution.  We assisted with the development of the new scripts and routing trees.  Our team led testing efforts including moderation, notetaking, and voiceovers for the test, data analysis and report, and delivery of the final report.  Our work encouraged other teams within the organization to embrace and adopt HCD best practices.
